'Heroes Reborn': First Look at 2 New Characters
Like Daredevil earlier this year, Heroes Reborn is introducing its characters with a series of motion posters. The first two feature The Boy Next Door’s Ryan Guzman and True Crime’s Francesca Eastwood. They join returning cast members Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Jimmy Jean-Louis.
Events in the new series are driven by a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas — home of Claire Bennett, the cheerleader whose healing powers motivated the first Heroes. Those with superpowers are blamed for the incident and multiple organizations are hunting them down.
Guzman plays former soldier Carlos, who is just discovering his new powers; NBC says he’s, “a different type of hero” from the others. Eastwood plays Molly, who isn’t listed among the people with superpowers. Does that mean she’s one of those hunting them? We’ll undoubtedly know more when Comic-Con rolls around next week.
Heroes Reborn premieres Thursday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
